A Paradise at The North of Bangka

On Sunday, August, 2nd, accompanied by friends, we traveled to the north of Bangka Island. It’s for the twice, I go to this cape. They named the place as Tanjung Penyusuk. Located 10km away from the center of Belinyu Distric.

I still remember how it looks like, although I could not remember precisely. It had limpid sea water. Groups of granit stones looked grow from the bottom of sea. Variety in size made it unique view. Then the view of the two islands in front of the cape with a lighthouse at one of them. That the memories I had so far.

Tanjung penyusuk is still the same I imagine before. Although the sea tin mining spread at the sea shore at all Bangka island but, Penyusuk is still safe from this exploitation.

When we arrived, we’ll stand on white sand. The Penyusuk is a half of football field width, among left side, you will see a long sea shore , while stones scattered among the beach. On the other side, you will see many rocks hills, or stand one by one facing the wave a head.

Meanwhile, if you look in front of the cape, there will be four islands a head. At the right, the named it Pulau Lampu, the biggest island among them. There, you can see the lighthouse. Then, side of it, two small islands. And the left side is Pulau Putri.

All I can say about the Penyusuk and the islands in the are was an amazing view. You are going to a place offer beautiful landscape, and natural ambiance. Trust me, it will be different journey you did ever!!

Some Spots for Relax in Sungailiat (Part II)

After taking bath at Kwan Im godnees, You may visit Teluk Uber beach, its located at east of Sungailiat, about 20 minutes long. Actually, not only teluk uber, but also tanjung pesona, tanjung asmara, and rebo can be reached in one direction. Each is nearly, and connected by long road that lines the hills at the east .

Teluk Uber offers white sand at the sea bank, widely covered almost structure of beach. Some infrastructures support the area to be more enjoyable. The motel is available here. So, for you who want taking a little bit longer, may spend the nights here while the scenery was amazing. Through the window, visitor can watch sunrise and the sea panorama a head.

Mini barbeque shop also available at down near the bank. So, for you who like to taste sea food like fish, the spot can offer it.

While, if you wanna continue the travel, may go to Tanjung Pesona beach. One of famous tourism spot in Sungailiat. Here, the hotel and motel built same as resto, café, swimming pool, sport center, and the supporting facilities. The modern touch was fully tasted, that’s why they ask permit ticket from visitors. Just about Rp 10.000,- for one, but its still negotiable. The same with Teluk Uber, but their ticket is cheaper.
Tanjung pesona is such a beach with full facilities. Wanna play at the sea bank, just go down at the right of are. Wide sand covered large area, while there are at least four the volley ball hall located. The parking are available. So the car can park near the location they like. In holiday, this place visited almost by families from around Sungailiat and other cities in Bangka Belitung.

If You want to spend some days here, that can be enjoyable too. Coz people can watch sunrise at early, next time you enjoy playing at white sands, night or day. The café offer you a view to sea from the top place. Have dinner can be so romantic here.

Unlike other spots, Tanjung pesona is a modern tourism beach spot in Bangka Belitung especially at Sungailiat. The other is Parai Beach that located at west.

For an extreme spots, for you who like a challenge and natural spot. You should continue the travel. Through an exit point at Tanjung pesona, turn left to the road line the hills. Some adventures is waiting for you.

I am telling this because there will be off the road experiences, drives to the down hills or up hills. If you are lucky, you will find unique spot with a very natural place ever. This can be really experience.

For long time ago, there is used to be, Tikus beach. But the mine activities have destroyed the landscapes for years ago. But now, the beach become unique, a large white sands covered the area, while the granite stones groups extend at the near. It is like growing from the bottom of the sea. Tikus can be first destination. Next the truly experiences comes ahead.

Some spot listed as Tanjung Asmara, Vihara at the Up hill, Rebo at the end of travel. But some of the spots without names, and located at the right around the road, down the hills and plants, trough the steps road, off the road, the unique spot will be waiting then. There will be some roads without names, and if lucky, You will get amazing scene with a very natural place. Trust Me…

Here Are Some Spots for You to Relax in Sungailiat (Part I)

Travelling in Sungailiat, one of cities in Bangka Belitung Province can be enjoyable. Some nice spots actually available near to city center. All what you need is a motorcycle and a drinking water, don’t forget a pocket camera. With friends accompany You, travelling in Sungailiat can be interesting activities.

II suggest for the first, travelling to Lubuk Kelik Hills where Klenteng for Budhism located. From City center, you drive to jalur dua street, then reach the acrros. Just turn right, you will pass chinesee village, Lubuk Kelik area. About 15 minutes then, right side of the street, there is a sign tell the location pricisily.

The road then became more uphill. But in agood condition, your motor can reach the top, coz the road are paving block made. Its suggested to come early in the morning, or late in the afternoon. The view it offer, sunset and sunrise was amazing from the top.

Then, you may come down, and plan to visit Dewi Kwan Im Bathing, A palce where people go and have a bath there. Its believed, a good sacred will be yours when you get shower.

The place is about 20 minutes from city center, the map begin Sudirman street, then see the fourth across, where the only red lamp exist in Sungailiat. Just pass the across and turn right to Pesona Beach direction. The street to Kwan Im is same to Pesona dan Uber Beach, and Tanjung Asmara, Also Rebo beach. The beach groups extend from the east of Sungailiat.

Enter Jelitik zone, near the corner, just turn to the right road, enter red sand made. You have to ride along the streets, pass some chinesse villages for about 10 km long. Its easy to find and the acces to the location is easies for visitors.

Then you will find the green houses, such a complex where mosque even statued side by side with church, Tepikong, and Vihara. A place represent high tolerantion in relegion.

Enter the complex, downhill, you will meet a house, release the shoes, you may take a bath in some ponds of water. There are at least four degress of pond for bathing. All of the water is clean and limpid. You may bath as long as you like. At the top degreess, that’s a bigger pond that contains lily and gold fish. And the lotus grows from the bottom to the top, let alone, the flower with red and white colour grows at the top of water. Wonderful scenery ever. (continued)

When we travel to development country, like Indonesia. There are some tips in how you can be accepted easily, building never lasting friendship, especially to natives at local community.
1. Keep Smile
I mean its can be ice breaking, native will see from how you act. Smiling show your hospitality.
2. Start the talk first
Asking about simple question can be done, such as their condition, work, family, their kids. In Indonesia, it means we care about them, while in west, they can be useless, friendship build by personal approach
3. Be humble
Don’t ever show too much although you know about that. Doing this will raise your image better. Local wisdom said the more you know more humble you should.
4. Pay attention to native culture
Some places don’t tolerate alcoholic drink. A kissing may be wrong idea in some community especially at village.
5. be humorists
As the west does, They like humor too. It’s worldwide, I think.

It’s about the place they cut hair, make it beautiful then you can show it. Then I found, Barber shop is not only that, but it’s about how you spend some minutes on that chair, to have such dialogues, when it ended, suddenly you get clever besides the nice hair model you have.

There some types of barber shop. As I know by location, first, “barber shop under tree”. This type is a very simple place. They just have to find a big tree, next build a such camp with a mirror and a chair. I found this model a lot in Bandung, west java. When I was on the way by bus, I always pass the barbershop. If you notice well, there are a lot of hair under the chair, means they had been long at the area.

Second, “barber shop in a gang”, complicated house building in a town, made this type as a common model. For students, it might be good option, coz it offered low rate. A college student, especially who came from another island, and had low income, this barber help much. Built in mini size, commonly in a room 2x3 meter, with one chair, a mirror in front of you, and one in a back, so you can fully watch how you look like.

Third, “barber shop in a mall or plaza”, a kind that located in a business centre, shopping centre in a town. Compared by the kinds above, they don’t hire amateur stylist, but a professional. It even has its own name, like “Rudi salon”, “Alex salon,”, meanwhile, for the second, they just put banner like, “Potong Rambut”. Usually, the third offer higher rate coz the facilities they offer.

Sometime, there could be a very interesting conversation ever, through the barber, you will get more views about daily news, from his view. When I try to be good listener, He will talk more and more, some news come out from him while he keep cutting. You’ll even get such kind information, rare and unique.

Barber shop, is a place for who need to relax. They often do specialty massage to your head, that’s why it felt very enjoyable. You must give tip for this service. For second type, they usually have this skill. With vary in moving hand, their finger push your head, stick your neck, grab your arms in determine power. Then, you will fly in to the sky. You will smile despite you have already broken hearth. I think this skill is unique and rare. For better impact, they might learn and learn in years.

Barber shop, is small place in our complex life. But, it offers little heaven for who look for the better hair.

Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung berada di bagian selatan Pulau Sumatera. Sesuai dengan namanya, provinsi ini merupakan daerah kepulauan yang terdiri dari dua pulau besar yaitu Pulau Bangka dan Pulau Belitung serta pulau-pulau kecil di sekitarnya. Bung Wiki, dapat memberikan gambaran awal mengenai hal ini (lihat peta di bawah ini).

Bangka Belitung sepertinya halnya Jambi, Lampung, Banten dan daerah lainnya di Indonesia, pada awalnya merupakan suatu keresidenan dan berubah menjadi Provinsi yang mulai efektif pada tahun 2001 dengan ditandai lahirnya UU No.27 Tahun 2000. Sumber data resmi dari Departemen Dalam Negeri mencatat bahwa Wilayah Propinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, terutama Pulau Bangka berganti ganti menjadi daerah taklukan Kerajaan Sriwijaya, dan Majapahit.Setelah kapitulasi dengan Belanda, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung menjadi jajahan Inggris sebagai Duke of Island.

Pada tanggal 20 Mei 1812 kekuasaan Inggris berakhir setelah konvensi London 13 Agustus 1824, terjadi perlalihan kekuasaan daerah jajahan Kepulauan Bangka Belitung antara MH. Court (Inggris) dengan K.Hcyes (Belanda) di Mentok (ibukota Kabupaten Bangka Barat sekarang) pada 10 Desember 1816.

Kekuasaan Belanda mendapat perlawanan Depati Barin dan putranya Depati Amir yang di kenal sebagai perang Depati Amir (1849-1851). Kekalahan perang Depati Amir menyebabkan Depati Amir di asingkan ke Desa Air Mata Kupang NTT. Atas dasar stbl. 565, tanggal 2 Desember 1933 pada tanggal 11 Maret 1933 di bentuk Resindetil Bangka Belitung Onderhoregenheden yang dipimpin seorang residen Bangka Belitung dengan 6 Onderafdehify yang di pimpin oleh Ast. Residen. Di Pulau Bangka terdapat 5 Onderafdehify yang akhirnya menjadi 5 Karesidenan sedang di Pulau Belitung terdapat 1 Karesidenan.

Di zaman Jepang Karesidenan Bangka Belitung di perintah oleh pemerintahan Militer Jepang yang disebut Bangka Beliton Ginseibu. Setelah Proklamasi kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia, oleh Belanda di bentuk Dewan Bangka Sementara pada 10 Desember 1946 (stbl.1946 No.38) yang selanjutnya resmi menjadi Dewan Bangka yang diketuai oleh Musarif Datuk Bandaharo Leo yang dilantik Belanda pada 11 November 1947. Dewan Bangka merupakan Lembaga Pemerintahan Otonomi Tinggi.

Pada 23 Januari 1948 (stb1.1948 No.123), Dewan Bangka, Dewan Belitung dan Dewan Riau bergabung dalam Federasi Bangka Belitung dan Riau (FABERI) yang merupakan suatu bagian dalam Negara Republik Indonesia Serikat (RIS). Berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden RIS Nomor 141 Tahun 1950 kembali bersatu dengan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) hingga berlaku undang-undang Nomor 22 Tahun 1948.

Pada tanggal 22 April 1950 oleh Pemerintah diserahkan wilayah Bangka Belitung kepada Gubernur Sumatera Selatan Dr. Mohd. lsa yang disaksikan oleh Perdana Menteri Dr. Hakim dan Dewan Bangka Belitung dibubarkan. Sebagai Residen Bangka Belitung ditunjuk R.Soemardja yang berkedudukan di Pangkalpinang. Berdasarkan UUDS 1950 dan UU Nomor 22 Tahun 1948 dan UU Darurat Nomor 4 tanggal 16 November 1956 Karesidenan Bangka Belitung berada di Sumatera Selatan yaitu Kabupaten Bangka dan dibentuk juga kota kecil Pangkalpinang.

Berdasarkan UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1957 Pangkalpinang menjadi Kota Praja. Pada tanggal 13 Mei 1971 Presiden Soeharto meresmikan Sungai Liat sebagai ibukota Kabupaten Bangka. Berdasarkan UU Nomor 27 Tahun 2000 wilayah Kota Pangkalpinang, Kabupaten Bangka dan Kabupaten Belitung menjadi Propinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Selanjutnya sejak tanggal 27 Januari 2003 Propinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung mengalami pemekaran wilayah dengan menambah 4 Kabupaten baru yaitu Kabupaten Bangka Barat, Bangka Tengah, Belitung Timur dan Bangka Selatan.
Adanya pemekaran ini, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka sekarang terdiri dari 6 kabupaten dan 1 Kota, yaitu:

* Kabupaten Bangka
* Kabupaten Belitung
* Kota Pangkalpinang
* Kabupaten Bangka Barat
* Kabupaten Bangka Selatan
* Kabupaten Bangka Tengah
* Kabupaten Belitung Timur

Sebelum otonomi daerah, jumlah kabupaten/kota ini hanya terdiri dari tiga saja yaitu Bangka, Belitung dan Kota Pangkalpinang. Mudah-mudahan pemekaran ini akan mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah dan mendekatkan pelayanan publik kepada masyarakat dan bukan hanya memperbanyak "eselon-eselon" pejabat daerah. Amin

Pantai Pasir Padi

Pantai ini terletak ± 7 km dari pusat kota Pangkalpinang, merupakan kawasan objek wisata seluas 400 Ha. Di selatan Pasir Padi terdapat sebuah pulau menjorok ke laut yang disebut Pulau Punai.

Pantai Air Anyer

Pantai Kedacak

Pantai Kedacak ini terletak dekat muara sungai dengan bebatuan dan pepohonan yang subur. Pengunjung dapat menyaksikan matahari terbenam dipantai ini, pantai ini terletak di desa Tanjung Niur.

Pantai Tanjung Kalian

Terletak 9 km dari Kota Muntok, disini terdapat menara atau mercusuar yang dibangun pada tahun 1862. Dari puncaknya dapat disaksikan seluruh kawasan pantai Muntok yang indah.

Pantai Batu Ampar
